THE AMAZING SLIDESHOW ADDON!

ME, MY BICYCLE , MY HAMMOCK, AND I.

Actually...that's the best survival set to support one absolute free ride travel.

Bicycle, hammock, sleeping bag, espresso cooker, piece of tarp and few meters of thin rope. That's all what you really need to have a good, economic and fully healthy ride. Ah! Hammock better be with insolation. Nothing worse than cold wind in the back in the middle of the night, even if sleeping bag is of good quality.

A bicycle to travel, no matter if long or short distances,

from the moment you decide to spend more than a few days riding the bike, you'd better prepare a machine adequate to your shape and condition. It's a wrong idea to believe that you need a bicycle with wich you could climb the mountains, because or you must be very sporty, or as most of the bicycle riders, you will push for a few kilometres to the top, or you have a big experience and you know how to throttle for the hours in the sun. Whatever...in my case a cruiser built on the huge wheels propulsed with one trekking eight speeds Nexus, appeared to roll just perfectly for over three thousands kilometres.

I was definitely comfortable riding down the mountains and a few hundreds kilometres of the coast. Bicycle costed around four hundred euros, I've built it by myself from scratch and scrapp, and it was grate. My survival set was minimal, as I wrote before, a hammock, tarp, rope, sleeping bag, two solar chargers, reparation tools set, espresso cooker, tooth brush, towel, metal cup, few t-shirts, and soap. All packed into two travel simple bags and on the road! I have slept in hammock for over two months, and I have spent maximum hundred euros on hostels and showers.

Petrol costs? Zero.

Restaurants costs? Zero.

Electricity using costs? Zero.

Rents? Zero.

Wine? ...

Ah! Of course my professional multimedia edition tools were taking maybe around ten percent of carrying space.

It was just a perfect ride...?

Oh, it was.

So, the equipment right choice is a fundamental condition to get a real good ride. I don't use the gas charged cookers, neither any cooker, because in the worst case I build one out of two cans.

But mostly I am arranging out of the stones one efficient micro stove, where it's possible to burn high voltage out of little dry woods. It works perfectly when you know a bit how to build it. Blowing one espresso takes a form of celebration, but what better to do in one beautiful spot somewhere on the terrace of the Pyrenees, high over the sea, in the morning fresh sun light, far from any road...lost in the wild. Hammock hanging between two sea oaks, the sleeping bag still hot, after lazy half hour of awakening, short stretch, tooth brush dance and espresso zip from hot metal cup, eyes full of sunshine. What's better?!?!?! Maybe a huge truck, parked somewhere in the middle of Kazakhstan steps, but that's another story.

So, yes, if you need to have it light and smooth, the highest quality minimum survival set, good shoes, light and large rain cap, high quality cotton clothes, and plants based cosmetic products, must be.
